Telebooking No : 9845017975

About the Play :

A Chinese box in dramatic form, a toy that is simple to look at but drives one to near madness when played with”—– Hugh Leonard.
“Pizzazz” by Hugh Leonard is a cleverly plotted, effervescent comedy about relationships. With its compelling play of words, Pizzazz tells
the story of two strangers - Marion and Dr. Conroy, who are inadvertently stranded on a Boat Jetty on the river Shannon waiting
for an indefinite boat strike to end. To kill the long, tedious hours, the vivacious Marion draws Olivia (her secretary), Dr. Conroy, Mrs.
Hand (A cleaning lady) and Rooney (The desk clerk) into a series of games - games about relationships. She manages to weave these
characters into a fantastic, make believe dynamic narrative that approaches human relationships in a most unusual way….(may we add,
hilarious?). With it’s fair share of idiosyncrasies, quirkiness, persistence and insecurities Pizzazz is a loveable comedy of trials,
mostly errors & that indefinable “something.

About Dramanon :

Dramanon was founded in 1991 and originally comprised faculty members and students of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) who shared
a passion for theatre. A few student alumni of Dramanon, Manipal who are now currently full-time professionals, helped Dramanon spread its
wings by establishing chapters in Bangalore & Hyderabad. In February and May 2007, Dramanon Bangalore staged 4 shows of its universally
appreciated production, “The Original Last Wish Baby”, and received tremendous commendation for its hilarious satire on pop culture and
sensationalism in modern-day society. Quickly following the heels of this one was “Pizzazz” by Hugh Leonard in Alliance Francaise and
Rangashankara in October and December 2007. The play met with huge success and ran to packed houses across its 4 shows. And now, by
popular demand, Dramanon is all set to stage a rerun of Pizzazz at the Rangashankara.
